I don't want to be fat anymore

I don't want to be fat anymore. I really don't. I don't want to have my love handles hanging out over my "fat" jeans. I don't want all of my shirts to feel too tight. And I don't want to buy new bigger clothes because that's not right. I am overweight for my height and body frame and I need to lose it. I recently looked at some pictures from a family trip to Lake Powell and I am sorely disappointing with myself. How did I let go so much? Why haven't I changed already? Looking at those pictures and really knowing how bad I look I decided I really need to change. I need to get a hold of myself. I didn't make my first goal of losing 10 pounds and that's okay. I can' keep going and still lose the weight. I am going to workout more (more that just a walk a day) and eat less. It's really just that easy. Well, the plan is easy. The actual doing it is hard. But I know I can do it. I need to do it. I don't want to be overweight like my mom (sorry mom). I see her struggle all the time, yo yo dieting, etc. Her feet hurt, her knees hurt. I don't want that. She's been trying to lose weight for years and hasn't had the willpower or has burned out because she went too strong too fast. I don't want to be like that and I can see myself going down that path if I don't change now. Also, I don't want to get pregnant again at this weight. Studies have shown that if you weigh more than you did before you got pregnant the first time (or your previous pregnancy) that you have a higher risk of gestational diabetes, large child, blood pressure problems, etc. I don't want to have to deal with that! So, that's my soapbox. Hopefully I didn't share too many personal details but then again I don't think too many people read this blog anyway lol! oh, and the 25 lbs is still on for the end of the year, bring it!

Hey girl! Just wanted you to know that I was checkin in on ya. I am in the same boat you are. Don't worry. We can do it!! You are so awesome. AND, the fact that you want to lose 25 pounds just boggles my mind because I look at you and see skinny. So, hope that makes ya feel better. Just remember, our weight doesn't define us. You are beautiful inside and out. Love ya!
